Hell, I started with a Nikon D80! Shooting above ISO 800 was a bit of a stretch! Shooting at 1600 and above was for black and white only. Now you can get a Canon full frame camera for $1000 USD, that lets you shoot all the way to ISO 102 400! Oh, and it has 20 megapixels. My D80 had 10, and that was a lot back in the days.
Upon playing with the R it was obvious the 6D was gonna just sit unused. Most likely will be selling the 6D so long as I can get a decent price for it. Or it may become the body dedicated to the small & light 40STM. Moral of the story - the purchase of an R may be the death knell of your 6D. -- hide signature --.
